Drengur og Hestur
“Boy and Horse” is a videoproject developed by artists Erla S. Haraldsdottir and Craniv A. Boyd.
It was recorded during the winter of 2010 in Skagaströnd, a hamlet in north west Iceland. This project is a story of Elvar, a young boy who spends time with horses and discovers one day in the stable that a white horse speaks to him. Startled and frightened by this discovery, Elvar soon tells others of his discovery. His classmates ridicule him and his life unravels. His single mother fails to take his concern seriously, Elvar seeks solace in the church and then the occult. Animations made from pencil drawings are incorperated into some of the scenes. All of the participants in the project are people who live in Skagaströnd. The video was shot on high definition format.
